Introducing
The Commits from the  Capital City Stars Top Junior Team

Day 11 - Commit
This is one of the most exciting times of the year as girls throughout the country have narrow down their choices to where they want to play basketball for the next  4 years in college.  For the student athlete and their parents it has been a wonderful roller coaster ride of highs & lows. However for the Capital City Star Top Team (Class of 2015 and a few 2016) the journey has come to an exhilarating end. The Decision have been closed down to (1) singular school of choice. They have verbally committed and are now anxious to sign on the dotted line for that long awaited dream to be fulfilled.  Each day, We'll add info concerning the decision from one of our proud Capital City Stars.  The hard-work, dedication, determination, prayers and the beliefs have been realized. Today is the first of many more to be recognized in this series on the Capital City Stars playing at the Next Level. So today, we proudly would like to announce the decision of the following Capital City Star:

Nazarae "NAZ" Butler
Ms. Butler was central Ohio's leading scorer with a 26.1 average that included one 48 point game.  Butler emerged as the go-to player for her high school team.  She can shoot from the inside and the outside.  Nazarae is an explosive athletic floor leader with handles and attacks, distributes with purpose in transition; superb court awareness, change of direction, tough to contain; breaks down defenders off the bounce with consistency, passes and finishes in traffic; among the most promising point guards in the 2015 class.  She is working hard to have a well-rounded basketball arsenal. She can make plays off the bounce for herself and others.  At 5-10, she can play any of the three perimeter positions and adapt her game. Her smooth athleticism and terrific body control often are deceiving because she doesn't look as fast as someone running at the limits of her balance. She uses her body well in traffic, initiates contact and has two go-to moves to score on the drive. Those two moves are a smooth pull-up jumper as well as a floater that she uses anywhere inside of 15 feet.   Impressive skills with the ball in her hands. The ability is there to create one on one especially with the use of a deceiving hesitation move. Lots of speed and a willingness to attack make her a constant threat to defenders. The perimeter shot looks sound but will need to be a more consistent threat to keep opponents closing out tight.  Lots of possibilities.  The court isn't the only place where Butler has been succeeding. She has a 3.8 GPA and is also a member of the National Honor Society.  We have no doubt, she will leave a legacy behind at the University she has chosen to represent.......        I'm proud to announce Ms. Nazarae Butler has verbally pledged to take her talents to  .................................................................................................................................
UMass-Lowell University!
Congratulations Naz....... remember to always let your game SHINE!
