Brooklynn Peterson, a 5’7" point guard from Columbus (OH) Northland High School signed a letter-of-intent to Wilberforce University. Peterson was named 3rd Team All-Central District Division I averaging 14.1 points 5.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. In addition to being a captain, Peterson was also named one of Ohio District 10 top 10 girls’ basketball players. “Brooklynn is high energy and high skill”, says Head Coach Iesha Gray. “I’ve watched her play over the years and her game has evolved with each new challenged. I’m excited to see how she develops at this level.” Brooklynn is the younger sister of 2013 Ohio Ms. Basketball, Alexis Peterson, who is now a guard at Syracuse University

Tivia Hylton, a 5’11 Forward  from Columbus (OH) Beechcroft High School, joins the Wilberforce Lady Bulldogs roster for the 2014-2015 Season. Hylton was a stand-out student-athlete at Beechcroft, lettering in both basketball and track and field. “Tivia brings depth and athleticism to the forward position”, says Head Women’s Coach Iesha Gray. “She has a tremendous up-side and I’m excited to see the difference she will make on both ends of the floor.”   Hylton is a scholar-athlete graduating with a GPA above 3.0.

Wilberforce Lady Bulldogs add another Africentric Lady Nubian to the roster with the addition of 5’7 Guard, Ayrielle Stith. Stith averaged 10 points 5 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game this past season. Head Coach Iesha Gray adds, “Ayrielle is a utility player. I can’t think of one thing she cannot do effectively on the floor. She brings a winning mentality and certain toughness    every successful team possesses.” Stith is a 2-time state champion and 3-sport student-athlete.
